Balochistan! A surge of rain-laden westerly winds is barreling in, promising moderate to heavy rains across 24 districts. Buckle up for a soaking two days, from today until April 27th, with potential flash floods and churning seas on the horizon.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department is forecasting a wet and wild ride, with heavy rains threatening to overflow rivers. Taking no chances, authorities grounded fishermen in Pisni and other coastal areas today as a precautionary measure.

But the wet weather won't be confined to Balochistan. The windy system is packing a punch, bringing thunderstorms and rain to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, South Punjab, and Upper Sindh. Even the breathtaking landscapes of Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir won't escape a sprinkle.

Proactive measures are already underway. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a high alert for the 24 affected districts in Balochistan. Deputy Commissioners and local administrations are on high alert, ready to spring into action if emergencies arise.

Travelers, take heed! The PDMA strongly advises postponing non-essential trips to hilly areas during this time. Residents in low-lying areas near rivers are urged to exercise extreme caution due to the increased flood risk.
